A seminar was arranged by Manna Dey Sangeet Academy and State Academy of Arts, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata at the Manna Dey Music Academy, Rabindra Bharati University, Jorasanko campus on 9th February, 2013 from 2.30pm. The speaker was the eminent Scientist and researcher on Indian Music Dr. Suresh Chandvankar. The topic was "National Music as a Cultural Bond". Dr. Chandvankar presented the topic with lots of audio & video clippings, some of those are really very rare. He illustrated his presentation with a lucid language and a lot of examples for almost 2 hours. The audience became spellbound with his deliberations and thoughtful research work. At the end, members of Manna Dey Sangeet Academy greeted him with a small memento, sweets, a bouquet of flower and with the DVD Jiboner Jalsaghorey, produced by Manna dey Sangeet Academy.
