Renaming of Jorabagan Street to Manna Dey Sarani

It is our pleasure to inform you all that the “Jorabagan Street” of North Kolkata has been renamed as “Manna Dey Sarani” from yesterday!!

We may add that on our last General Meeting held on 14th August, 2014 we took the resolution of requesting Govt. of West Bengal & Kolkata Municipal Corporation to rename any suitable Road/Street of Kolkata in the name of the departed Legend of Indian Music Sri Manna Dey. Accordingly that, we placed that request to the appropriate authorities on 28th August, 2014. We are really thankful to the Govt. of West Bengal and The Kolkata Municipal Corporation for accepting that request of us.
